Adding a new European footprint to Microsoft

In a move by Microsoft to expand its European presence, Microsoft announced the establishment of the first data center area in Austria, and earlier it had announced expansion plans in Greece as well.

Building a center of digital excellence

Microsoft announced the establishment of a Center for Digital Excellence as well as building a cloud data center area, and Microsoft seeks to train approximately 120,000 Austrian citizens in digital skills by 2024.

Microsoft President Brad Smith said that this addition is not just building a data center, but rather an opportunity to provide the necessary technology for all individuals, companies, and government institutions in Austria who need it in order to develop their organizations and acquire new digital skills and to re-imagine, transform and develop their operations.

Microsoft Cloud Data Center No. 64

The data center to be built in the 64th region distributed all over the world of centers under implementation or already operating, and this investment will achieve approximately $ 2.1 billion in new revenues for the Austrian ecosystem of local Microsoft partners, in addition to customers benefiting from cloud services.
